There are two ways to make love.
One begins with the body.
It is touch, heat, breath, hunger. It can be slow and sensual or wild and unapologetic. It awakens the mind through the senses, but ultimately, it reaches for a physical ending — a beautiful, fleeting release.
And then there is another kind of making love.
The kind that may never require two bodies to touch at all.
It happens when two minds begin digging into one another — deeper and deeper — until they strike something beneath the surface. The core. That hidden place where curiosity, wisdom, vulnerability, and wonder live.
Sometimes making love is fucking.
Sometimes it is tenderness, skin against skin, moving slowly enough to memorize another person.
But on the rarest occasions, making love is sitting together for hours, losing all awareness of time while talking about life. About existence. About why people love, why they leave, what makes us human, and how this strange world somehow continues to turn.
It is exchanging thoughts you have never known how to explain before and watching another person understand them.
It is being mentally undressed.
It is the quiet astonishment of discovering that someone else has traveled far enough into your mind to recognize the landscape.
That is a different kind of pleasure.
The body can experience an orgasm and return to itself moments later.
But when someone touches the deepest chambers of your mind, challenges the way you see the world, and leaves behind a thought you will carry for the rest of your life—
that kind of orgasm does not end.
It echoes.
